In the majority of the Asian countries the Preventative medicine has been practiced for centuries and is a fundamental part of the lectures of medicine of the oriental universities. This generates a clear positive epidemiological repercussion for these nations. In the western countries, to the contrary, the Preventative Medicine is rarely taught in the university lectures. The western medicine has concentrated on clinical Medicine.
If in our Latin-American countries, the health sector was invested significative amounts for the development of Preventative Medicine, very soon we would have a benefit in the reduction of predicable diseases and savings in the enormous expenditure that each nation incurs by trying to maintain healthy its citizens.
